A woman who infamously punched Jo Frost in an episode of Supernanny when she was nine has spoken out about her experience on the chaotic Channel 4 parenting show.

Meghann Cooke, from Bishop Stortford in Hertfordshire, appeared on the show with her family after she and her sisters' unruly behaviour made her parents Paul and Denise reach out for help. Now 27, Meghann appeaared in one of the most explosive episodes of the show with her two sisters Gabriella and Erin, and she took a particular dislike to poor Jo.

There were plenty of shouting matches between the family and Jo, but at one point, Meghann's outburst was so bad that she climbed up onto the table between Jo and her dad, desperately trying to violently attack Jo.

Twenty years on, Meghann has made a name for herself on TikTok, where she regularly answers her followers' questions about her experience on the now-bizarre reality show.

One intrigued fan recently asked her: "Were you embarrassed when you watched it after it came out?

Did you actually hit Jo or was it scripted?"

Meghann spoke out about how it impacted her afterwards. She said: "The first time the show was aired, I watched it on the TV in my bedroom, my mum and dad watched it downstairs and my sisters were asleep, they didn't watch it. I remember crying when it finished and my mum came upstairs and said she was sorry, she was crying and I was crying.

We were used to getting ready in the morning, watching TV, getting our hair done, having our friends round. And weren't allowed to watch the TV because, obviously, for reasons they can't have the television on.

"We weren't allowed to have friends around because they shouldn't really have our friends in the video - and we weren't allowed to wear certain clothes, like, we weren't allowed to wear clothes with branding and stuff on them."

Supernanny returned to US screens in , with Jo blaming government cuts for a lack of education for parents.

She said at the time: "I'm looking forward to families across America having access to my parental education surrounding their family challenges, as this country/government is short on providing the resources, staff and funding families so desperately need in society.

"The USA. has changed, it is hurting, families are struggling more, families are less confident then ever."
